Murano MCM Fratelli Toso Style Turquoise Gold Butterfly Bowl

This is a beautiful mid century modern Murano glass butterfly shaped shallow bowl in the style of Fratelli Toso.  It has a cased glass look with a turquoise blue edging surrounding a field of white and swirling gold flecks.  It measures approximately 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" (11" diagonally)  x 2" high.

Glass Flower Floater Candleholder by Pipsan Swanson Saarinen, 1948 MCM

Flower Floater candleholder designed by Eva Lisa (Pipsan) Saarinen Swanson and manufactured by U.S. Glass Company in 1948. Measures 14.5" x 9" x 1.5". In excellent condition- no chips or cracks.

Eva Lisa (Pipsan) Saarinen Swanson is part of an influential design family. Her father was the architect and designer Eliel Saarinen, her mother was the textile designer and sculptor, Loja Saarinen, and her brother was architect Eero Saarinen. Pipsan was born in Finland in 1905 and moved with her family to the United States in 1923. (Source: Cooper Hewitt) The flower floater design is part of museum collections such as Cooper Hewitt, Brooklyn Museum, Dallas Museum of Art and Cranbrook Museum.
