Offering a beautiful late 19th century Victorian hand blown and enameled blue opaline footed vase in the manner of Harrach Glass, Bohemia c. 1880. Features an enameled bird on a branch with leaves and pink flowers. The base is trimmed in white enameled beads black bands. Base is unmarked and displays a smooth pontil. Measures 11 ¾” high x 5 ¾” at widest x 3 ½” diameter at rim. This vase is in excellent antique condition!

Eva Lisa (Pipsan) Saarinen Swanson is part of an influential design family. Her father was the architect and designer Eliel Saarinen, her mother was the textile designer and sculptor, Loja Saarinen, and her brother was architect Eero Saarinen. Pipsan was born in Finland in 1905 and moved with her family to the United States in 1923.
