This is an 8-sided (octagonal) plate with a lovely tropical village scene at the center of a winding river with some boats, palm trees, and a couple of churches and other buildings done in pastel colors and browns. The border of the plate consists of 4 sections with parts of the center scene and 4 sections of black and white design. The back shows crazing and shows the maker.

This is a 5” Bauer vase in turquoise. Although it is not signed, it can be found in Chapman’s Bauer book on page 71 in a different color. There are some rough spots on the base, but they are manufacturers flaws. The rest of the piece is in excellent condition.
