1930's Silver Springs Pottery Mission Swirl Vase

This is a piece of vintage pottery from the 1930s. Silver Springs refers to a marbleized pottery that has been made at Silver Springs, Florida, since 1938. It is old souvenir art pottery made by Seminole Indians at its Indian village. Light colors such as cream and light pink were swirled to create a marbleized effect.  This piece measures approximately 3” tall and 2 ¼" in diameter and is embossed on the bottom Silver Springs, Fla.
