Stratton Powder Compact with a Red Rose Motif

The compact is gold-toned with red rose enamel on the lid, and made in England, likely dating from the 1950s-1970s. This one features a scalloped edge. Stratton compacts are known for their "self-opening lids" (patented in 1948) designed to prevent chips in nail polish. The interior of this compact is used.
