The traditional scissor handles allow you to open and close this tool easily while the small rectangular box on top of the blade catches the cut wick so it does not fall onto the candle wax and when you close them it puts the candle out. Made of cast or forged metal with a brass finish showing a patina. Approximately 4 1/2 inches long. Good condition but shows signs of age.
